The 4C's of a diamond are a commonly used grading system to describe the quality and characteristics of a diamond. They stand for Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat weight.
Cut: The cut of a diamond refers to its proportions, symmetry, and polish, and how well it reflects light. A well-cut diamond will have optimal light performance, sparkle, and brilliance.
Color: The color of a diamond is graded on a scale from D (colorless) to Z (light yellow). The less color a diamond has, the higher its value and rarity.
Clarity: The clarity of a diamond refers to the absence or presence of blemishes and inclusions, which are natural imperfections that can affect the diamond's beauty and value. A diamond with fewer inclusions and blem
ishes is considered more valuable.
Carat weight: The carat weight of a diamond refers to its weight, with one carat equaling 0.2 grams. The larger the carat weight, the rarer and more valuable the diamond is. However, carat weight should not be the only factor considered when assessing a diamond's value.
